LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Lana Theis, R-Brighton, welcomed former district and circuit court judge Karl Fink to the Michigan Capitol on Tuesday night as her guest for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State address. Fink is an Ann Arbor-based attorney and currently serves as partner in Fink & Fink, PLLC.
Theis issued the following statement in response to the governor’s speech:
“Tonight, the governor highlighted her priorities for the year, and I am glad that lowering auto insurances rates was one of them,” said Theis. “Our state has improved significantly over the past eight years, but the impact of the astronomically high cost of automobile insurance remains Michigan’s number one problem yet to be resolved. Senate Republicans are working hard to develop a solution that provides real and lasting change. I look forward to working with the governor’s administration to accomplish our shared goal of reducing auto insurance rates for Michigan motorists.”
