LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Lana Theis on Wednesday took part in setting up the Freedom is Never Free Traveling Memorial display at the Livingston County Airport.

The display features replicas of the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Michigan Vietnam Traveling Wall and Eyes of Freedom Traveling Memorial. According to reports, it is the first time all four memorials have stood together in Michigan.

The memorials arrived in Howell from Dundee after being escorted by law enforcement and various motorcycle clubs.

The event, which is presented by the Connect Five Veterans Foundation and hosted by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 125 and Auxiliary, will be on display for public viewing, free of charge, through July 14.
